Online College Algebra in Accordance with Harry's Aims
- Orientation and General Information.
- Course Syllabus
- Course Schedule
- Homework Videos and Notes
- WebAssign Tests are all taken from the same question bank as I use for the Homework. If you give up on a homework problem and settle for an 80% B
on the homework, you will probably encounter that problem you skipped on the test, and test questions weigh more than homework questions.
- WebAssign Tests are 60% of your grade.
- Homework is 20% of your grade, and where you will spend the most time, mastering the skills to excel in the other grade categories.
Writing Projects for Spring, 2024:
- Writing Project Videos
- An archive of videos where I work through a very similar Writing Project (Same questions. Randomized values.), so that you know exactly what I'm looking for.
- Writing Projects are 10% of your grade.
- Old Writing Projects
- An archive of old written solutions that illustrate exactly what I'm looking for. The main "bad thing"
about my solutions is they are too cramped. I'm making solutions for many, and that's a legit paper saver. But
students need to leave lots of room for my and your annotations, and THAT is a legitimate use of paper.
Other Resources
- Direct Portal to WebAssign.
- This is the quick way to get in AFTER your register through D2L
- Download your Grade Report Template!
- This is the spreadsheet you will use to keep a running tally of your grade in this course. I will e-mail you my grade report after every test, and you can check
to make sure what I'm reporting is what you're getting. This is a relatively easy chore, and it's good for math students to be exposed to some basic spreadsheet skills.
